You would think after all these years that having a new batch of puppies would be mundane. But each time a new litter arrives we are so excited to see how they turn out. How many are boys and girls and what all the markings are. This litter is from our female Tango and our friend's male Otto. We did this cross last year and got Buzz and Tazz. Well Tango really caught us off guard this time, she popped out eleven puppies! We were pretty shocked at that number, and she has been pretty good about it too. Getting alittle "mommed" out about now, but loves them all. ( I totally get it Tango!) The girls have to bring them in the house almost daily, and have names for most of them. Seth "luvs" the puppies, and likes to cuddle them, but he gets mad at his sisters if they ignore HIM for the puppies.
Shawn and I took some "us" time and drove to Cascade to pick up the new piggies Friday. It took forever, Shawn was testing out the driving 55 mph to save gas theory. (it works, it's just VERY annoying, TO ME!) Of course those of you who know me well know I like speed, and getting to my destination QUICKLY! Anyway......we drove 11 miles out of Cascade to pick up the cutest little red piggies you have ever seen! We brought home three of them, they are only seven weeks old. The kids were very excited to see them! After you've had big full grown ugly pigs for a few months, who can resist the absolute cuteness of baby pigs? Seth wanted to hold one immediately, but they were a little messy from the ride so we turned them out in the pen. Shaelie came home from work and had to run right out and grab one, this took her awhile, but she was pretty pleased with herself when she finally caught one. She brought it to the house to show Seth. He just grinned and patted it. "I love Porky" he tells us. :) So the little pig was dully named...Porky, and his brother Wilbur and sister Babe. They really are just SO cute!

Victory!
Shawn rebuilt the backhoe engine, it's finally finished! It was short lived, the oil pressure wouldn't work, but we think it's fixed again. :)
