Fall Trip

We took off the weekend after Labor Day to head to Idaho for the Eastern Idaho State Fair. The kids and I love to go to the fair each year with Grandma and Grandpa Aldous. On this trip we also headed to Preston to visit Grandma and Grandpa Palmer and then Shawn and I drove over to Wyoming to look at a farm/ranch (it's a long ways over there). The trip was fun, but really long and we were all very tired. We'd planned to be back for school Monday morning, but by the time we got back up to Blackfoot, we were already sick of riding in the car for the day, so we stopped for the night, then came home Monday. At least the girls got another day off school, and we didn't have to listen to Seth scream for the last three hours of the trip. :) The kids had a blast at the fair, eating cotton candy, and riding the rides. Chantel got picked to go up on stage for the hypnotist act, but he couldn't put her under. :) Seth loved all the kiddie rides, although his sisters were a little embarrassed to ride on them with him, so after awhile, he was brave enough to ride by himself! The trip was fun, but next one I sure hope we don't have to log as many miles!

Shawn rebuilt the backhoe engine, it's finally finished! It was short lived, the oil pressure wouldn't work, but we think it's fixed again. :)
